Karnal, founded by “Raja Karna” of Mahabharta, is one of the prominent historical cities in Haryana. The city is also known as walled town where the citadel of old times can still be seen in form of Kot-Mohalla. The NASA astronaut Late Kalpana Chawla, was born here.
